MEET TAMERA
Tamera Thoener is an honors graduate of Vanderbilt University with a Master of Science in Nursing degree, where she earned her RN and Family Nurse Practitioner certifications. She enjoys helping her patients through an integrated medical model and believes in the whole health of the body both physically, nutritionally, and mentally. Tamera specializes in dermatology and migraines within her Family Primary Care clinic and is currently accepting new patients.
She is nationally certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and licensed to practice in Tennessee. She is an active member of the AANP, ANA/TNA (American and Tennessee Nursing Associations), Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, and MTAPRN (Middle TN Advanced Practice Registered Nurses). She also holds a Bachelors of Business Administration Degree with a minor in Music Performance from Belmont University. Tamera is originally from Texas but has called Nashville her home for the past 30 years. She enjoys spending time with family and friends and loves to try new restaurants with her husband, David. Her favorite pastime is vacationing in Maui, Hawaii. She further enjoys watching movies, hiking in the Percy Warner parks, and spending time with her animals.
Tamera is the Middle TN Legislative Chair on the MTAPRN Board of Directors and the Treasurer for the Access to Care for TN Coalition.
